Michele Waalkes Arts

I am a firm believer in the value of art!

To that end, I have curated numerous exhibits, used art to teach core standards in classrooms from preschool - twelfth grade, taught art classes to college students, created public artwork that engages the community, and produced my own mixed media artwork that conveys a variety of themes.

My work as a curator, artist, and educator has always intersected with the community, whether to teach and inspire, to spark dialogue, to express concepts, to wrestle with difficult issues, or to bring people together. This is what makes the arts so meaningful to me.

 

I am extremely privileged to share in this amazing power of art through my  different roles.
